Playing Experience
Ahmed grew up in Cairo, Egypt where he played in the youth team for Zamalek, one of the two largest clubs in Cairo. He later played for Cairo University for three years (1978 – 1980) and for Shooting Club for 2 years (1980 – 1982).
Coaching Experience:
Ahmed finished his Coaching Internship with BR. Sporting Club in Alexandria, Egypt and worked with the youth teams there in 1982 and 1983. In 1991, he founded the Hawks Soccer Club and has coached the ’81, ’83, ’84, ’85 and ’89 boys and the ’82 and ’83 girls teams for the club. He coached at the Episcopal School of Dallas from 1996- 2000. He also was a state ODP coach 1998-2000.
Current Profession or Education
Ahmed Holds a CAF license from Alexandria, Egypt (1982) and a USSF “C” license (1999).
He also has a Bachelors degree in accounting and finance from Cairo university.
Team accomplishments
Ahmed took his 81, 83, 84 and 89 teams to 11 Dallas Cups, reaching the quarter-finals twice and the semi-finals twice. His teams have finished runners-up in division 1 of the boys Classic league twice and state cup finalists twice. The 83 and 85 boys winners of the Sandia Cup (New Mexico) twice. The 89 boys winners of the Texans Tournament (Spring, Tx). The 85 boys winners of the Claremont Stars Tournament (Claremont, California). The 83 boys winners of the Cocoa Expo (Florida)
