Summary of Qualifications

Sal Adames brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to the Dallas Texans Soccer Club.

Sal has been involved with soccer both as a player or a coach since 1985. He was a member of the then named Coca-Cola Classic League since the age of 10. He played in the Dallas Men’s Amateur League for the Dallas Pirates. From 1995-1996 he was a player in the USISL, (USL) Professional League for the Texas Toros.

His coaching experience has taken him from Camp Instructor to South District Head Coach for the Olympic Development Team (ODP).

He has an Associate Degree in Human Sciences, AFAA certification in personal training, USSF North Texas “D” license and is currently studying Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Former Player Highlights 

Fransico (Gato) Vidal, U17, plays with Indios, professional club.

Chris Klute played in the U17 World Cup in Seoul, South Korea. He currently plays for the US National Team.

Daniel Lopez attends SMU (D-1), he is a 3rd year starting player.

Partnership to focus on coaching and player development at America’s #1 - ranked youth club


Top US soccer club Dallas Texans have teamed up with Manchester United to offer players the chance of a lifetime – to train with Manchester United at its world class Carrington training centre. The players will be accompanied by Dallas Texans coaches who will share the latest coaching techniques.

In addition, coaches from Manchester United will travel to Dallas to help identify players and offer their advice and expertise in the youth team’s coaching sessions.   Brian McClair, Director of the Manchester United Academy said, “This is a great opportunity for the Dallas Texans.
