Dallas Texans Teams Earn Invitation to
2008 US Youth Soccer National Championships
April 6th, 2008

At the close of today: US Youth Soccer National League games, eight teams received an invitation to compete at the US Youth Soccer National Championships in North Little Rock, Ark on July 22-27.  The Dallas Texans Soccer Club had three teams that played in the USYS National League games and we are proud to announce that all three of these teams have received an invitation to play in the 2008 US Youth Soccer National Championships by finishing in first or second place in their divisions.  Congratulations!

Soccer National Championship with a 1-0 win over Chicago Magic.

No other US team can claim three National Championships complimented by a Dallas Cup Super Group championship!

2007 National Championship Finalists!!

Dallas Texans Red ’90 Girls needed one more goal that didn’t come, finishing with a

3-2 loss to the Eagles in Sunday’s National Championship final game. The girls were

one of four Dallas Texans teams to represent our club and North Texas in the 2007

US Youth Soccer National Championships!

The Dallas Texans Red 91 Girls accomplished what few teams dare to achieve -

playing in a National Championship final game. Although the girls fell just short of

their championship aspirations by a 3-2 OT result, they represented the

Dallas Texans well on the ultimate youth soccer stage!

Dallas Texans Alumni, Clint Dempsey Choose as 2007 U.S. Soccer Player of the Year

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Clint Dempsey was chosen the U.S. soccer player of the year Tuesday, honored for his scoring prowess on the national team.

He had four goals in nine games for the American team this year, including one in the World Cup, and finished tied for the team lead in goals. The 23-year-old midfielder is in his third season with the New England Revolution. He was the MLS rookie of the year in 2004 with seven goals in 24 games.
