Why would I want to participate?

Why not? 80% of dollars raised goes to the player and 20% covers the online event costs

Is this fundraising event mandatory?  No

Don’t need the money? Help a friend!  Let your coach know you will participate in the event to raise money for other players on your team that need support. 

How much money has this event raised in the past? Last year this event received over $73,000 in donations

When does the Goal-A-Thon take place? Funds will be raised online during July & August

How does the Run for Dollars work? You will set a goal of how long you will run and then with your team or as an individual.

Are there prizes for the event? The will be a mini "Run for Dollars" at the signing party. Prizes will be given by age group.

How do I track the donations that I have received? When you register for the event you will create a fundrasing page and on that page you will be able to see how many dollars you have raised (before deducting the 20%) and who has donated to you.

When will I receive the funds? Your donation will be transferred in to your team account at the end of the event.

Is the donation tax-deductible? Yes, when someone makes an online donation they will receive an online confirmation of their donation that can be used for tax purposes.
