Roderick Scott Appointed as Technical Director for the Girls Youth Academy

As a club, we believe the development of our youngest players is paramount. We understand that these young players are the future of our club and consequently, we place a large amount of emphasis on our Youth Academy and strive to aide each and every player that attends in their development. Therefore, it was very important to us to appoint as the Girls Technical Director, someone with a very experienced background in developing players and working with youth, and we are happy to announce that Roderick Scott will be filling that role for us.
Roderick has been coaching youth soccer in Dallas since 1994, and has been with the Texans since 2001, following a successful playing career that included 10 appearances for the Canadian National Team, 4 year starter and 1st team All American at the University of Akron, and 5 years with the Dallas Sidekicks. Roderick has brought that same level of expertise and ability to his coaching. Roderick has a proven success record in talent evaluation, player development, teaching and training soccer teams. As the Girls Technical Director, Roderick will be in charge of creating and enforcing the curriculum which the coaches under him will follow, and will oversee the progression of all the girls in the Academy.
